Chloe's project is derived from her current role and is focused on a surface doping of alumina using transition metal oxides, the aim is to understand how this can be manipulated and used as a functional ceramic in electronic devices under vacuum.

Chloe did an integrated masters MChem Forensic Chemistry at the University of Lincoln, her Batchelors level research was investigating single crystals grown from gunshot residue. Her Masters year was research placement in radiochemistry at AWE where the research looked at radioactive decontamination of forensic exhibits. Chloe then moved to her current role at AWE where she worked as an applied chemist for three years prior to starting my PhD at imperial in Feb 2025.​​
