George is a postdoctoral researcher working as part of the Solid Oxide Interfaces for Faster Ion Transport (SOIFIT) EPSRC/JSPS core-to-core program. His work focusses on the development of the surface analysis techniques for understanding the degradation of ceramic oxide conductors. In particular his work is centred on the novel departmental FIB-SIMS instrument, Hi5, for dual ion polarity detection and the 10s of nanometre resolution.

Prior to his postdoc, George completed his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Ainara Aguadero investigating new metal oxides for thermochemical water splitting through a combination of density functional theory validated by experimental methods. George has wide range of lab and experimental experience and someone who is always interested in tackling a new research challenge!
