Ritika is a PhD student in the Department of Materials at Imperial College London. Under the supervision of Dr. Sivaprakash Sengodan and Prof. Stephen Skinner, her current research focusses on the investigation and understanding of novel anode materials for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells. Within this area of research, she will master wet chemical methods, SOFC fabrication and measuring techniques. Advanced characterisation methods i.e. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy will be applied for structural characterisation of these materials.

Prior to the joining the group in 2019, she obtained her MSci Chemistry (Hons) from the University of Birmingham where she carried out her research project on new proton conducting electrolyte materials for solid oxide fuel cells in Professor Peter Slater’s group.
