PhD Student
Cordie.png

Cordie joined Imperial College London in October 2025 as a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Skinner and Prof. Aron Walsh. Her research focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to accelerate the design and discovery of perovskite materials for solid oxide cells (SOCs). Cordie’s research is supported by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 through an Industrial Fellowship with QinetiQ.

Cordie joined the group from the University of Cambridge, where she completed an MPhil in Physics within the Molecular Engineering group at the Cavendish Laboratory. Her MPhil research explored the use of text and image mining tools for the automated extraction of chemical reaction data from scientific literature. Alongside her studies, Cordie worked as a Materials Scientist in the Advanced Materials team at QinetiQ. Prior to this, Cordie obtained a BEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh.
