His current research focuses on developing  anode materials for direct ammonia fuel cells.

Prior to this role, Kehan joined Prof. Stephen Skinner's group as a PhD student in October 2021. He focused on exploring the protonic conduction of rare earth tetragonal (LaNbO4) solid solution series via experiments and simulations. Before that, he used CP2K to develop a more realistic model of metal-water interfaces during his master study, and received the degree from Chemistry department, Imperial College. He participated in High Entropy Ceramics research, and finished his undergraduate study at South China University of Technology (SCUT) in 2020.
