Mingxuan is a second-year PhD candidate in the Department of Materials at Imperial College London under the supervision of Professor Stephen Skinner. His research focuses on Ruddlesden-Popper phase materials, particularly La₄Ni₃O₁₀, for solid oxide fuel cell cathodes. He employs pulsed laser deposition (PLD) to grow thin films and investigates oxygen transport mechanisms using isotope exchange and secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS). His work also explores the effects of Sr and Cr doping on structural stability and transport properties. Outside the lab, he enjoys traveling and building with LEGO.
