Yidong commenced his postdoctoral research in November 2024, following the completion of his PhD degree within the same group. His current work, in collaboration with Ceres, focus on the degradation mechanisms of cathode materials in fuel cells and electrolysis cells, employing advanced technique such as FIB, STEM EDX and SIMS.

 

Yidong started his PhD programme supervised by Prof. Stephen Skinner since October 2020 after the graduation from Imperial College London with MSc degree.  During his PhD, he focused on the structural and electrochemical studies of Mo substituted LaNbO4, using XRD, TEM and XAS.

 

Before he came to London, he obtained his bachelor’s degree at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2019.
